14.00  Selina Hatherley From crisis to community

The Grenfell Tower fire in June 2017 resulted in profound loss of life and long-term trauma, in a culturally and socially diverse West London community. Within 48 hours of the fire, a group of homeopaths began offering acute homeopathic prescribing and emotional support in the W11 area. Selina shares how the evolution of a community-based homeopathy clinic established, in response to this crisis.

Selina qualified as a homeopath in 2004 and has been in clinical practice in Oxfordshire for over two decades. In addition to her private practice, she leads the SidebySide team at the Grenfell community clinic in London. There she works with a mixed team that includes students and newly qualified homeopaths, creating a rich environment for shared learning and reflective, trauma-informed care. Selina is Chair of the Society of Homeopaths, where she is committed to strengthening professional standards, mentoring, and supporting members throughout their professional journey from student to retirement.
