Veterinary Surgeon Dr Adrew Prentis from Hyde Park Veterinary Centre in London was interviewed on the 12 April 2018 by journalist Jo Good for the BBC Radio London program “The Barking Hour”, where he explained, why it is so important for vets to have their clinical freedom to choose exactly the right treatment for their patients without restrictions, and for animal owners to have the freedom to choose how they want their animals treated.

Working alongside other veterinary professionals, his practice offers clients a range of treatments including homeopathy, acupuncture and osteopathy, as well as conventional methods, in order for them to have the widest selection of care options for their animals.

The program also covered the CAM4Animals March in London on Monday 16 April starting at 12.30pm from Parliament Square and heading to the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons’ (RCVS) Headquarters in Horseferry Road. The protest is against the Council’s policy statement published 3 November last year. 

The statement was made without consulting any vets educated and with experience in homeopathy and CAM, and which in effect would take away the clinical freedom of vets using complimentary and Alternative medicine as a first line treatment for animals. For this reason Andrew Prentis voiced his disagreement with this decision process.
